1. Treat ALL guns as if they are loaded, always!
2. Never point a gun at anything you don't want to destroy or kill.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
4. Always be absolutely sure of your target and what is behind it.

When I applied for my concealed carry permit, the court clerk asked me if there had been an incident that caused me to want to carry. I explained to her that there had not been one, but I wanted to have the ability to carry if I so chose. I never want to have to use my gun, but I also like to know that it is there if I ever need it. What is that saying, "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away." I want more options at my disposal.
